GIPNA will set up a volunteers table at the corner of Byron and Lawndale to supply shovels, rakes, brooms and garbage bags for your use courtesy of 45th Ward and Alderman John Arena.

GIPNA's Annual Meeting and Election of Officers will be held in the Independence Park Field House Auditorium on Sunday, April 17, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Nominating Committee will present the slate of Officer and Board of Director candidates. GIPNA Invites our neighbors and all of our elected officials to attend.
The meeting will begin with a one-hour social hour, followed by a short meeting, briefings from elected officials and election. Please consider attending this event to meet the GIPNA Board and mingle with your neighbors and friends.
Join your neighbors for food, fun, and community at the GIPNA Gourmet Pancake Breakfast. The 12th Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to noon, and everyone is welcome to attend.
For the third straight year, we'll be serving at the beautiful Independence Park Bungalow, located on the corner of Hamlin and Byron. Indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting) will be available for our guests. As in years past, our menu will consist of two very special pancakes, an egg dish, and a special Children's Table treat.
June 12th kicks off another year of the Independence Park Farmers Market. Expect another great season with your favorite farms and vendors returning for another wonderful summer.

The 10th Annual GIPNA Community Garage Sale! Saturday May 14th, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (rain or shine) This super fun garage sale is part of a neighborhood-wide Community Garage Sale sponsored by GIPNA (the Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association). If you're a picker and a value hunter there will be plenty to find. Food and refreshments will abound throughout the area walk.
The 9th annual FINE CRAFT FAIR is in the Independence Park Gymnasium located at 3945 N. Springfield. The Fine Craft Fair will feature original handmade craft items such as jewelry, textiles, glass, ceramics, pet products, apparel, and home accessories. All work is original and handmade by the artisan.
